Dating Advice From Celebrities: Harry Shearer
What? Harry Shearer’s single? Nope. But that doesn’t stop JDate’s JMag from asking him for dating advice that’s completely unrelated to the promotional tour for “For Your Consideration.”
GREG: You’re a married man; do you have any relationship advice for the singles on our website?
HARRY: Relationship advice… That would amuse my wife, if she heard that question being posed to me – there she is now! [phone ringing]. “Honey, don’t tell them that!†Just when you think it’s important to share your feelings about something is the moment when you should think twice about it…
I really wish he had just advised everyone to take their dating game to 11. Because it’s one higher than 10.
You know that’s almost about the most concise decent advice any married guy could actually use. It will come in very handy down through the years. However it may be useful to single guys, but possibly to the definte detriment of their partners on certain vital occasions. Cheers & Good Luck, ‘VJ’
Ha! Wonder what Mr. Burns or Smithers would say
I think Smithers might have a problem with it.
Marriage basically sucks for the man. in Most cases, the woman loses passion and interest in romance and sex as she gets older, while the man GAINs interest.
The man is in a bind. To get divorced, which is what I am very seriously contemplating, brings w/ it a host of many other problems as we have seen posted about here. In addition, the man loses usually rights to see his children frequently. In most cases the courts grant custody to the mother.
Then again, the cost of maintain a second house hold would render the man totally impoverished.
It would be more noble to seek someone while he is yet married, and see if there is a love connection w/ this new woman. Then he can start to enjoy life again.
If the man seeks relief for his sexual interest outside of the marriage, this is a solution for many but it also brings many problems, such as I can imagine, it could be hard to ever feel the same passion, it is really like I would think, burning bridges. How one would feel as a kind of ‘low-life” I cannot imagine.
It also depends on how one is doing this. To go to a hooker in cities where this is illegal, can be quite stressful I would imagine. To got where it is legal, is preferable, but the distance would mean that many months would go by before this would be accomplished. More stress.
The idea to nullify ones sex drive is a good one, if you are in a no-win situation.
This is the path reccomended in classical Judaism.
